Breaking News! Eight Members Of The Governing Body Disfellowshipped

This is not fake news. It is serious.
Three Jehovah’s Witnesses, long-time elders, convened a judicial committee on July 14, 2025, to address the sins committed by the eight members of the Governing Body: David Splane, Kenneth Cook, Steven Lett, Geoffrey Jackson, Samuel Herd, Gerrit Lösch, Mark Sanderson and Anthony Morris III.
The sins committed in 2021 and 2022 include a. o. blasphemy and manslaughter.
Due to the seriousness of their sins and their refusal to cooperate and to repent, the Judicial Committee has decided to relieve them from their duties and disfellowship them. The decision is effective as of today's date, 15 September 2025.
According to the biblical model in Deuteronomy chapters 16, 21, 22, and 25, as well as Ruth chapter 4, legal cases should be heard publicly and transparently.
"18 You should appoint judges and officers for each tribe inside all your gates that Jehovah your God is giving you, and they must judge the people with righteous judgment. 19 You must not pervert justice, show partiality, or accept a bribe, for the bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and distorts the words of the righteous. 20 Justice—justice you should pursue, so that you may keep living and take possession of the land that Jehovah your God is giving you."
(Deuteronomy 16:18-20)
In Matthew chapter 18:15-17, Jesus instructs us on how to proceed among brothers:
"15 Moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go and reveal his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
16 But if he does not listen, take along with you one or two more, so that on the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established.
17 If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations and as a tax collector."
(Matthew 18:15-17)
